Engineering
The manufacturing engineering team at Contour Tool has extensive experience in CNC machining processes, utilizing the latest technology in equipment, tooling and work holding while designing a process to manufacture parts with quality at the forefront. We are always reviewing processes and part design improvements to drive down costs for our customers.
EDM Services
Contour has a wide range of EDM equipment and expertise that allows us to provide customers with a broad array of Wire EDM machining services, producing precision parts that conform to your dimensional tolerances of your designs. We also utilize this equipment to aide in our fixture building to ensure that tolerances are met for accuracy.
Contour Tool started in 1986 as a quick turnaround tooling supplier to the screw machine industry. EDM machines were our bread and butter allowing us to make custom dovetail form, shave tools and insert tools to satisfy the needs of our diverse customer base.
Today, our EDM machines still serve to machine custom tools along with punches and dies for Dr Fritsch machines and secondary operations on many of the machined parts that start in our milling and turning departments.
From machining complex windows on Aerospace parts, to finishing the tight tolerance races on automotive safety related assemblies, our EDM’s prove vital to the success of our operation.
Fixture Building
Contour Tool possesses the ability to design and manufacture all the required fixtures to produce our customers’ parts in house. Some may say that this is not unique, however with the decline of skilled tool makers in the industry has made it more challenging. We at Contour Tool recognized this and put in place the tools needed to machine our fixtures right on our CNC production machines. This ensures accuracy, repeatability and shorter lead-times to give our customers the best possible delivery of their product.
Laser Marking
Contour Tool invested in state-of-the-art laser marking equipment that can quickly and permanently place part numbers, model numbers, bar codes, logos, characters and graphics on your parts.
Assembly
Contour offers complete turnkey manufacturing services from machining to final assembly. Whether it’s a simple sub-assembly or the complex assembly of an entire machine, Contour has the expertise and experience required to not only make your parts, but we can also assemble them and ship them directly to you or your customers.
